About the service - what to do

1. Please complete the registration form

2. You will then receive an acknowledgement via email. If you have no email address we will telephone you

3. One of our team will then come back to you as soon as possible, normally the same day, with a course venue, date and price

4. If acceptable, we will take a card payment from you and then confirm the booking with the provider

5. We will then email you a receipted invoice and course joining instructions

It's as simple as that!

Please note: there can be no refund if you do not attend the course. Providers will have different cancellation terms so please let us know as soon as possible if your attendance on the confirmed course is going to be a problem. We will do what we can to help.

Geographical Areas for Scats Safety Passport

Mersey basin is the largest cluster of chemical companies in Europe and include areas such as Port Sunlight, Birkenhead, Ellesmere Port, Warrington, Runcorn & Widnes, Carrington and Salford. In addition, Teeside and Humberside are main centres but there are smaller clusters dotted around the country. Sellafield and the Cumbrian coast, North Wales coast – Holywell & Anglesey are a couple of examples.

According to the Department of Energy and Climate, there are currently nine major UK oil refineries with a distillation capacity of around 88 million tonnes per annum, operated by Esso, BP (2), Petroplus, Shell, Total FinaElf (2), Conoco and Texaco.
